Yeah, people like that exist all over, and you can't not meet them, but no one's really able to justify a location based exclusively on that alone. It would be like trying to start a bar exclusively around people who wear beanies and flannel (arguably a lesbian crowd as well but I didn't intend that when I started writing). It's also made a lot of things unremarkable. The normalization of being openly gay in the West has led to a lot of tolerance and other good things. It's such a well known spot for the LGBT crowd with a focus on the L (and T, as of late) that it's insane not to mention it. That's why someone's going to definitely mention Diesel Cafe before I scroll down. I'd be willing to bet that most clubs have a night for gay clients. You can check any venue from concert halls for some sort of themed night to basic clubs (tautology around here) to even things like regular cafes, honestly. The idea of lesbian/gay bars, at least in Boston, has died down, but there have been more gay nights or events and so on.

If you have any other questions feel free to reply or DM! Hope I could be of some help! GayBashd is also queer and mixed, and the next one is tomorrow 1/18 at Oberon. It usually happens 4th Saturdays at Great Scott. We have one tonight at Oberon, and also 2/6 at Middlesex Lounge.ĭon't Ask Don't Tell is another queer friendly mixed crowd, though it tends to be a bit of the younger crowd since it is in Allston. It's prob able 60/40 female presenting to male presenting ratio. I'm the host/MC (Sham Payne here!), and I would say it's a very very mixed crowd. It's a mixed crowd but definitely open to all sexuality and gender expressions. Houseboi is also a queer friendly night and safe space. The next one is tomorrow 1/18 at Foundation Room. I know Crowns is very lesbian friendly (the DJ and host are both queer women and the whole space is lgbtq friendly). Dbar and Blend are both mixed, Alley is a bear bar (so you prob aren't looking there), and Cathedral Station is a gay sports bar but I've only gone on weeknights so may be different otherwise. Mondays are definitely a mixed crowd of men and woman rather than Strapped. Machine is okay, although it is finally closing soon. Club Cafe is mostly gay men, and usually tends to attract a lot of "straight tourists", if you get what I mean. In terms of actual bars, unfortunately I think that's about it.
